It looks more like biopunk; if you remove the unnecessary golden textures and lighting and make it darker and more chitinous-bone.
Let's start with the MAIN and BIGGEST mistake:
When people hear the word "steampunk" they probably think of advanced technologies but with a lot of gears and all that primitive stuff, which is absent in your art. It seems like you just wanted to make it "original" and "different from everyone else" but it ended up looking like some kind of insectpunk, if that even exists.
In the first case, if you want to stick to the idea of steampunk, the character could have metallic shiny cylindrical pipes on pistons instead of limbs (renders can be easily found on Google, I think). HINGE at the places of the joints.
In the second case, you could have developed all this further and simply Googled various grasshoppers/locusts/crickets; I think they would fit perfectly, and you could texture it all with a render like the bronze beetle.
P.S
I sincerely hope that your response won't boil down to a dismissive "oh, okay, got it, I'll keep that in mind" or even "I DIDN'T ASK FOR CRITICISM, THANK YOU" because this is the most detailed and non-negative comment I've probably ever written during my time on this wretched site, coz if you do, i gonna watch on it like Homelander.
