| "bUt hE IS noT iNtereStEd in ME" Girl, he sure as heck is. I mean the moment you let your guard down, he'll start poking you.. but that's just the extent of it, as a basic LN romcom protag he isn't programmed to go any further than that. Also I would've preferred to kill myself rather than facing someone that awkwardly first thing in the morning, so I'll give that much to the dude atleast. At this point I won't be surprised if in the next few episodes we see Amane's granny, grandpa, his long lost brother or maybe Aunt May coming all the way to see his bride-to-be like his father did today, though wait was he actually his father? Seemed too young for that lol. Anyways the shrine visit with full blown preparations felt like a school trip if nothing. Don't blame people if they'll start suspecting things now. |

| Show continues to be my saving grace every Saturday. And by that just giving me something to smile about for 24 minutes. God damn I love this anime and I love these two characters. I love how Mahiru gets angry now when Amane puts himself down and how she kept drinking the Amazake when she stated "We're close friends too." Hopefully more then that sooner then later. |

| When the new year comes the first thing that comes to mind is always gonna be the first shrine visit of the year. Making that much for new years would tire anyone. Nice to finally meet Amane's dad though. His parents though are so easygoing. But looks like in the past Amane had quite the problems with bullies. Mahiru looked gorgeus in that kimono. She sure nailed the term japanese beauty easy. They really nailed the shrine visit and Amane and Mahiru's developing bond moment there really well. Given her popularity its a given that any sighting of her with a boy would be a hot topic within the school. Mahiru though really had no shortage of adorable moments this ep. Though this ep made me even more curious to see what her family is like though. |

| Oh my god what an episode boys we’re feasting. This needs to be shown to people going thru therapy for depression. Mahiru looked so beautiful in kimono. And amane needs to start fixing himself up more, bro is really nice looking if he just put some effort into his appearance. His parents coming to town was really a blessing, helped he and Mahiru air out some of their true feelings. “I think you look really good, amane” omg 😭 why is she so perfect. Headpats too, this episode had it all! Anime has kinda glazed over it, but today we got a little shot of how good a friend itsuki is. Bro is always trying to hype up his best friend and motivate him. Everyone needs a friend like that. |

| The animation, music, the acting is all competent or adequate. Nothing about this show stands out. But then, at the end of each episode I am left with a feeling that I can not wait until the next week. I just want more of this sweetness and love. |
| Might be an unpopular opinion here, but that was a bit of an irritating episode, but it's a recurring issue I find with this show. The dialogue is just so weird, time and time again Amane says things like "What if I made a move?" to Mahiru, then asks if that's what she wanted to tease her, and it's just so awkward. Same with the parents, the dialogue was just so stiff and boring. On the other hand, the show still attempts to be cute and give me diabetes, which is working to a certain extent, but I find it a bit hard to get into the characters when we just haven't known anything about their past yet. I did like how Mahiru called Amane out on his self-deprecating comments though. |

| While some scenes are still getting skipped it's no big deal overal, they still animating the highlight and key scenes without rushing things too much. Like this Amane's and Mahiru's progress doesn't feel akward in any way which I feared in the first place. Animation still wonky sometimes but way less than in the first episodes, if they keep up the pace and quality I will actually be really satisfied with the adaption. Favorite scene this week was the first headpat, was really adorable how Mahiru was surprised but didn't try to resist for one second. |
